AMI’s fourth annual Oil & Gas Non-Metallics 2018 conference will take place at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London, UK, from 30-31 October 2018.
This high level international event has quickly established itself as the leading learning and networking space for suppliers of polymer-based products and solutions for the Oil & Gas industry. The 2018 conference will, once again, feature a full two-day programme of expert presentations arranged around multiple informal networking sessions, such as the inclusive Cocktail Reception at the end of the first day, which encourage and enable informal discussion and contact development.
Oil & Gas Non-Metallics 2018 will address the over-riding industry demand to control cost in terms of infrastructure and equipment investment, installation and maintenance. It will also address the need to minimise risk in Oil & Gas industry operations, which is critically important in the development, qualification and application of new non-metallic materials and components.
Expert speakers will explore the full range of oilfield engineering non-metallic materials, including polymer composites, thermoset resins, thermoplastics and elastomers. Key focus areas will include material solutions for challenging drilling environments with high levels of sour gas, deep water off-shore production, high pressure and temperature operation (HPHT), and exposure to ice and abrasive conditions. It will also look at non-conventional gas and oil recovery such as fracking, where composite plugs are under development.
Oil & Gas Non-Metallics 2018 will provide a crucial technical learning and networking forum for oil and gas operators, engineers, contractors and material and equipment suppliers, supporting and encouraging informed discussion and debate on the use of non-metallic materials in critical applications.
